You are sure to be inspired at this first meeting of the Rotary Year for President Linda Kaye Briggs. Please make the time on your calendar to learn about what the new year will bring. She will share her vision, goals and thoughts as she rolls up her sleeves to lead this club to new and exciting places ...and we are not just talking the Yacht Club!  

 

We have the opportunity to volunteer for the barbecue to be held this year on Friday July 20 at 11:15

We have our two students, Renata from Paraguay and Jacob from Norway preparing to arrive in Tacoma by the end of August in order to enroll at Stadium High School. Youth Exchange needs two host families approved and ready to go by August 1st. 

 

 

It won't be long now until it's our sign hanging on the home we will help build in Tillicum.  Watch  for the  "wall of hope" stud, at our meetings for you to sign. It will then be placed in the house we construct.  There will be opportunities starting in the next few weeks for all of us to be involved.  Can't swing a hammer or pound a nail, or raise a wall?  Maybe you can serve refreshments to the workers.  This is going to be a wonderful opportunity for us to all work side by side and change lives in Pierce County!

The Fellowship/Relationship Building Committee invites all members of Tacoma #8 to join them on Thursdays at 5 pm. These socials are a great way to meet some new Rotarians or catch up with old friends. Pandakas, these meetings will fulfill your "social" requirement prior to graduation and, for all members, it’s fun.
