How KNKX Public Radio covers Tacoma and the Region

 Florangela Davila is the news director at KNKX Public Radio. She has experience in print, online, TV and radio as a reporter and as an editor for more than two decades. The only child of immigrants from Colombia and Peru, she was born and raised in Los Angeles; graduated from UC Berkeley and the J-School at Columbia University; and was a 2019 fellow in the CPB Public Media Editorial Integrity and Leadership Initiative. She has earned numerous individual and team journalism honors, most recently three regional Murrow awards for KNKX.
