Days for Girls

Days for Girls was the recipient of a global grant project for the women and girls in the Kingdom of Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, spearheaded by a team from Snoqualmie. Carol Hendricks and Jennifer Barthels started Days for Girls Snoqualmie in 2014 and they both absolutely love what they do. The opportunity to work with amazing women and men in Eswatini, Africa has been incredible.

Carol began her journey in Eswatini in February of 2013. Since then there have been13 more trips. They have raised somewhere in the $150,000 through fundraisers and personal giving.  Their chapter had sewn nearly 5000 kits before they met Lindiwe and started the Eswatini Enterprise.  Days for Girls Snoqualmie was the recipient of a 2020-2021 Rotary global grant for the women and girls in the Kingdom of Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland.

Carol and Janet Leister, of the Lynwood Rotary, and writer of the Global Grant will talk about the mission of Days for Girls Snoqualmie, the impact of the Rotary, and other partners as well as the expansion of the project to provide handwashing stations to nineteen rural schools. Along with her team partners, and the rotary clubs that have supported our project, we have helped to make a difference for menstrual health and hygiene.
