As a Tacoma 8 Rotarian, you are among community leaders demonstrating the “Four Way Test” and providing Service Above Self. Project Greater Good is your opportunity to financially support your club’s annual giving campaign.
Your Project Greater Good contribution, combined with your volunteer hours on committees and hands-on projects, makes a positive impact on our local and global communities.  Combined with proceeds from our annual auction, Project Greater Good provides essential support for our club’s diverse projects.
Last year, 140 members pledged over $80,000 to help support the work of our club, locally through the Tacoma Rotary Foundation providing funds for our community service projects, grants and scholarships; and globally with donations to the Rotary International Foundation, Polio Plus and investments in our Rotary Youth Exchange Program.
Investments in the Tacoma Rotary Foundation provided local grants administered by our Grants Committee to 15 non-profits. These grants helped provide shelter for the abused, food for the hungry, access to healthcare, safety for youth at risk, scholarships for high school seniors and so much more. Donations also underwrote sweat-equity projects serving USO, Camp Goodtimes and MultiCare Treehouse as well as work in literacy and supporting spring break lunches and back to school supplies.  What an incredible impact!

Globally, we support of Rotary International Foundation’s Six Areas of Focus: (1) Promoting Peace; (2) Fighting Disease; (3) Providing Clean Water; (4) Saving Mothers and Children; (5) Supporting Education; and (6) Growing Local Economies. Your donation was multiplied four times through district and Paul Harris Fellowship matches, to provide clean water and hygiene facilities for villages in India, support for an orphanage in Romania, and literacy supplies for schools in Africa.
Thank you for considering participating in our Project Greater Good Campaign. You can help us continue the work of Rotary by completing the enclosed form and returning it to the Tacoma 8 Rotary office today.
Yours in Rotary,
